2014 # INSTALLATIONS, OBJECTS, PERFORMANCES
March 2014, Sardinia
The work consists of 8 ceramic objects with integrated speakers which are being hung from the ceiling to create a spacial installation. From each speaker comes a voice singing a variation of two alternating tones, which in total result either in a harmonic, or a disharmonic chord progression. The voices derive from ecordings which were made during the practice of a local choir. Using in-ear-microphones and standing very close in front of each singer a very intimate moment was being archived, consequently representing the tuning – or calibration – of the choir. By walking through the installation the visitors can physically get closer to each one of the voices, revealing an intimate moment dislocated from its original actors.
